Pie Tasting Celebration

Hands down the pies were a hit! Thank you very much for your constant support by sending in pies, plates and forks. Both the kids and I appreciated the treats very much. Blueberry was chosen as their favorite with a close second of pumpkin pie.

Traveling Books

It is important that the children see themselves as authors. They enjoy reading what they have helped write and illustrate. The traveling books give them an opportunity to savor these early literacy experiences.

You may want to help your child track the words as he or she reads the book. The repetition will help your child learn to read some of the words. Our main purpose, however, is that you and your child enjoy the shared reading experience.

Please illustrate your child's assigned page and return it the next day so it can travel to another child's home.

Goebbert's Pumpkin Farm

What a beautiful fall day we had for our field trip to Goebbert's Pumpkin Farm! We were able to enjoy the fresh air, animals, pumpkins, a tractor ride and good times with our classmates. I will add more pictures once I check to see that everyone has signed the "photo consent waiver" in order to post a picture with your little one in it. Thanks for your support and I hope your child came home excited and shared stories about the day!

Something Good and Something New

Hello Kinderparents! Every Monday morning I ask the children to share something good or something new that happened to them over the weekend. I'd like to get a jump start on their conversations and share with you a tool that I am excited about. As an alternative to creating a website for our class I've chosen to use a blogging system. This blog will enable you to stay informed of class events and about helpful resources. It is my intention to update the blog as the year continues so check back often!
